Maria Amor and Schuro, from label Paraíso, will be the resident artists at the Local Goes Global Pop Up Stores. They will play at the launching event and will curate the music of each store. LOCAL GOES GLOBAL POP-UP
LONDON
Portuguese Brands & Designers
Local Goes Global London is a concept Pop-Up Store & Creative Space that aims to showcase the vision and know-how of Portuguese craftsmanship, designers and brands.
The idea is to promote Portuguese design, highlight its dedication to sustainability and reinforce Portugal as the leading sustainable fashion market. With a carefully curated selection of brands, the pop-up store fuses both avant-garde designs and up-and-coming brands, with a focus on artisanal techniques and textiles.
After a largely successful kick-off event during Paris Fashion Week, the next Local Goes Global Pop-Up Store will be presented at London Fashion Week at Regent Street, in the heart of London.
An exclusive cocktail event will be held to celebrate the opening on February 17th, where guests will have the opportunity to meet the designers and dance to the beats of the renowned Portuguese record-label Paraíso.
The Pop-Up Store will be divided into three different areas: Brands, Artisanal and Designers. The brand section will include sustainable Portuguese brands from design fields like high jewellery, fashion, interior design and beauty. The artisanal section promotes the tradition of Portuguese manufacturing and will present guests the opportunity to take part in artisanal embroidery and weaving techniques, as well as the production of handmade pieces and textiles. The Designer section will present a curated selection of avant-garde, up-and-coming Portuguese designers. A cherry-picked selection of Portuguese artists will also be invited to exhibit their work at the gallery.
This pop-up store is a part of the traveling Local Goes Global concept that was presented at Paris Fashion Week and will arrive in London before heading to Milan, Moscow, and Qatar throughout the year.
